Unfinished Business, page 2

Last week, I illustrated in color pencil the first page of the story I wrote when I took a distance learning writing class for children and teens through the Institute of Children's Literature. I wrote the story with preschoolers in mind where the themes are repetition and numbers which incorporated my Philippines culture.
I worked on the second page illustration and here it is below with the text:
Rolled the five rice cakes out of the door.
They startled the four mice sleeping before.
"That's our merienda, our snack!"
They said with a smack.
With growling stomach, they yelled, "Come back!"

The story continues next week as soon as I finish with the third page illustration! :-)
